Sitting at 1895 m of altitude, the restaurant L’Alpette Alt.1895, a large Alpine chalet, known for many years by the great spots persons of the resort and their guests from all over the world, is the starting point of the famous Emile Allais slope. With its wooden facade and shiny shutters, reminiscent of the fifties, the ancestral venue revives its glory of past days.
L’Alpette Alt.1895, the most mythic mountainside restaurant in Megève, overlooks the whole valley and has views of the superb summits, especially the majestic mont Blanc, with its 360° panoramic view. Opened every day for lunch in Winter and for dinner upon special request only, L’Alpette Alt.1895 offers set menus for everyone, thanks to numerous catering concepts, managed by the Chef Richard Betschen.
Anyone can enjoy a real mountain pasture atmosphere in this cheese speciality restaurant on the first floor of the Alpette Alt.1895, with its decor of light wood walls, cowbells and dairy utensils. The menu offers typical local dishes like fondue, raclette and Berthoud, and you can finish on a sweet note with a bilberry tart or “biscuit de Savoie”.
